Important Information
This 1977 Ibanez Black Eagle Bass is a striking example of late ‘70s Japanese craftsmanship, delivering the bold looks, punchy tone and road-worn character that have made these instruments increasingly sought after by collectors and players alike. Featuring upgraded DiMarzio pickups, premium rewired electronics, a Badass high-mass bridge and authentic vintage wear throughout, this bass has the feel and presence of a genuinely hard-played instrument with decades of musical history behind it.
The Black Eagle became especially well regarded through its association with Krist Novoselic of Nirvana, helping cement the model’s reputation as one of the most distinctive and iconic vintage Japanese bass designs of the lawsuit-era Ibanez period.
