At its heart, the 5051 boasts a flexible preamplifier stage, complete with input gain, phantom power, a 90Hz filter, and a 30dB pad to perfectly tailor your input source. The four-band equalizer, inspired by TL Audio's iconic EQ-1, can be placed pre- or post-compression, allowing for customizable tonal shaping. Speaking of compression, the 5051 inherits the robust compression section from the TL Audio 5021, featuring hard and soft-knee options, switchable attack and release times, and an optical gate with a variable threshold. This ensures every detail of your sound is captured with clarity and depth.
The 5051 also offers practical connectivity options, including balanced XLR and unbalanced jack connectors, along with a link switch for stereo operation when paired with a second unit. Its switchable VU meter provides real-time feedback on input level, output level, and gain reduction, keeping you in control of your sound dynamics.
