The Audix D1 is a hypercardioid dynamic instrument microphone built for high-sound-pressure sources. With its VLM diaphragm, rugged machined aluminium body, and excellent off-axis rejection, it’s ideal for snare drums, percussion, guitar cabinets and live stage use. It handles SPLs up to ~144 dB, gives crisp transient response, and its compact form makes tight miking effortless.

  • Hypercardioid dynamic mic, designed for instruments and drums, especially snare, hi-hat, guitar cabinets, etc. 
  • Very Low Mass (VLM™) diaphragm for better transient response and clarity. 
  • Machined aluminium body, steel mesh grille, compact design for easy positioning. 
  • Balanced XLR-3 male output, low (250 Ω) transformerless output. 
  • SPL handling up to ~144 dB, so suitable for loud sources without distortion.
  • Frequency response approximately 46 Hz to 18 kHz. 
  • Weight ~128-130 grams. 
  • Length ~100 mm; widest diameter ~39 mm.
