The 1973 Gibson SG Standard is a USA-made electric guitar from the Norlin era, featuring a solid mahogany body, set mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with block inlays, and a pair of original Gibson T Top humbuckers delivering classic rock and blues tones. Its lightweight double cutaway SG body offers excellent upper fret access and a resonant, aggressive character that has made the model a long-standing favourite among professional players.

This era is particularly sought after due to its short production window with ebony fingerboards and original T Top pickups, making well-preserved examples increasingly rare and desirable to collectors and players alike.
