Washburn Guitars, founded in 1883 in Chicago by George Washburn Lyon and Patrick J. Healy, is one of America's oldest and most respected instrument brands. The company pioneered the dreadnought guitar with its 1912 Lakeside Jumbo model and played a significant role in the Delta Blues movement of the 1920s. Today, Washburn offers a diverse range of instruments, including electric and acoustic guitars, basses, banjos, and mandolins, and is recognised for models like the Nuno Bettencourt signature N4 and the Festival Series acoustic guitars.
