Collection: Sony

Sony was founded in 1946 (originally as Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation) by Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita. They’ve been innovators in consumer and pro-audio gear: early transistor radios (TR-55, TR-63), portable cassette players, the Walkman line, DAT and multitrack recorders, studio microphones, high-resolution audio gear, and more. They also co-developed the compact disc (CD) with Philips, and have pushed many format and playback technology advances like MiniDisc, LDAC, etc.
