Quest

Quest Guitars was a short-lived brand introduced in 1984 by Musical Technologies Inc. (MTI) of New York, aimed at the heavy metal market. Manufactured by the renowned Matsumoku factory in Japan, Quest instruments were known for their distinctive designs and solid build quality. The Atak series, including models like the Atak 1, 2, 5, and 6, featured bold body shapes, various pickup configurations, and finishes such as the striking "sunrise" fade. Production ceased by the late 1980s following Matsumoku's closure, making Quest guitars rare and collectible today.
