Onyx is an Australian guitar brand that emerged in the late 1970s, offering Korean- and Japanese-made electrics styled after Fender, Gibson and Mosrite models. Their Custom Craft series gained a reputation for quality and value. Though discontinued in the 1990s, the brand was later revived with affordable Chinese-made instruments for the local market.
