Collection: Esoniq

Ensoniq, founded in 1982 by former Commodore engineers, was a pioneering American brand renowned for its innovative samplers and synthesizers that shaped the sound of the 1980s and 1990s. Their groundbreaking Mirage sampler made digital sampling accessible, while instruments like the ESQ-1, SQ-80 and ASR-10 combined synthesis, sequencing and effects into cohesive workstations. Ensoniq's gear, celebrated for its rich, 'fat' sound and user-friendly design, became staples in genres from hip-hop to electronic music. Though the brand was absorbed by Creative Technology in 1998 and eventually discontinued, Ensoniq's legacy endures among musicians and producers who continue to value its distinctive sonic character.
