Audix, founded in 1984 by Cliff Castle and Fred Bigeh in Oregon, is renowned for designing and manufacturing professional-grade microphones in-house, from development to production, to ensure audio excellence. Their early innovation, the OM1 handheld mic released in 1986, rivalled industry standards with interchangeable grilles suited for vocals and instruments. Today, Audix continues to lead in live, studio, and installed sound with acclaimed products like the D6 drum mic and OM series, all crafted at their Wilsonville facility.
