ART Pro Audio, short for Applied Research and Technology, was founded in 1984 in Rochester, New York, by a team of engineers from MXR. The company gained prominence with the release of the Tube MP in 1995, a compact tube microphone preamp that made high-quality tube sound accessible to a broader range of musicians. Now part of Yorkville Sound, ART continues to develop affordable, reliable audio gear for studio, live, and installed sound applications.
