Overview
A special instrument! Very loud acoustically and an extremely unique timbre when plugged into a nice driven amp with a strong midrange presence.
Our understanding is that these pickups are Silvertones but were designed to not have the breakages that the traditional Aria style trapezoid pickups often had around the pickup cover. This guitar is unbranded but may have been a Silvertone, Aria or a Teisco. It's hard to say what badge was meant to go on the headstock!
The tremolo arm has sadly come off but it's electronically perfect. The saddle can be moved if you force it, so probably not for someone playing live and expecting a perfect instrument.
However! If you are a studio or hobbiest you'll find this guitar has all the charm and sound quality you could want for some lo-fi recordings. It plays very well, the neck isn't a baseball bat but it's not thin either, very comfortable and welcoming. One of my (Drew) favourite picks in the shop, these guitars always make me dance for joy when we see them.
