Overview
The Maton Apollo Red is a striking example of early Australian electric guitar design, delivering a raw, woody tone and lightweight hollow body feel that sets it apart from its American counterparts of the era. Featuring original-style pickups, a distinctive twin pickguard layout, and classic vintage construction, it offers a unique playing experience full of character and old-school charm.
As one of Maton’s earliest electric models, the Apollo represents a pivotal moment in Australian guitar manufacturing, reflecting the brand’s move into electrics during the 1960s and its role in shaping the country’s music history.
