Important Information
The history of the ES-335 takes us all the way back to the 1950's. Before 1952, Gibson only produced hollow-body models. The introduction of the solid-body Les Paul was a turning point in modern amplified instruments, as it eliminated feedback, but it lacked in the tonal depth that the archtop-styles were famous for. Enter the ES-335: a semi-hollow option that contained the depth and warmth of a hollow body, and the sustain and reduced-feedback from the solid bodies.
The Dot is Epiphone's take on a classic style that influenced the direction of post-50's jazz, blues, and rock n' roll. This particular one has a big neck, perfect for medium to large-sized hands, and has a big output. It can take high gain really well without feedback, so would be ideal for live performers and bedroom-rocker's alike. It can also achieve a nice clean tone without compromising on output.
