Overview
Let's start off by saying this Bill Asher Model 1 has an absolutely buttery neck pickup and a delightfully twangy bridge. This lap steel is also super versatile and is suitable for both country and Hawaiian-folk styles.
Interestingly, Bill Asher originally custom designed and built this model for Ben Harper in 1998 and we are fortunate to have this dreamy turquoise number. The design of this instrument has also been heavily inspired by the Weissenborn Hawaiian acoustic lap steel from the 1930s; A highly sought after and rare lap steel that was made famous for it's harp-like resonance.
You can expect a rich low end and an unmatched sustain when playing both acoustic and electric. Simply a beautiful lap steel master builder, Bill Asher, sonically and visually.

Tested and under warranty. Every preloved item is serviced, repaired if needed, and tested by our techs before it goes on sale. Used gear comes with our warranty: 3 months for electrical faults and 6 months for structural faults. It excludes misuse, neglect, unreasonable wear and service items such as strings and batteries. It's on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
