Overview
A lovely and approachable vintage acoustic; The 1960s Framus 5/1 Amateur features a compact parlous-sized body. Given the size of this guitar, it would be an excellent choice as travel guitar or for casual playing around the house. The nut is relatively slim and the neck feels comfortable. A solid choice for those with smaller hands or for thumb-over style chords.
The vibe of this acoustic is '60s all over, with a tone that sounds incredibly nostalgic when leaning into arpeggiated picking. While this guitar doesn't have the sustain of a modern dreadnought, the 5/1 Amateur excels in folk, country and blues settings.
