Zildjian, founded in 1623 by Armenian alchemist Avedis Zildjian in Constantinople, is the world's oldest and largest cymbal manufacturer. The company relocated to the United States in 1929, establishing a factory in Quincy, Massachusetts, and has since become synonymous with high-quality cymbals used across various musical genres.
