Collection: Hoyer

Hoyer is a historic German guitar maker founded in 1874, originally crafting lutes and zithers before transitioning to classical, folk, and electric instruments. Under Arnold and later Walter Hoyer post‑WWII, the brand earned a reputation for quality archtops (‘Herr im Frack’, ‘Solist’), solid‑body electrics, and rare designs like the Foldaxe. Production halted in 1987, but Hoyer was revived in the 1990s with a mix of German‑ and Far‑East‑made models; since 2009, it's overseen by Ritter Brands internationally.
