Ampeg

Ampeg has been shaping the sound of modern bass since 1946, when it began as the Ampeg Bassamp Company. The brand revolutionised amplification with the 1960 B-15 Portaflex, a flip-top combo amp that became a studio standard for legends like James Jamerson and Chuck Rainey. In 1969, Ampeg introduced the SVT, a 300-watt tube head that redefined live bass tone and remains a benchmark for power and clarity today. Ampeg continues to innovate with modern lines like the Rocket Bass and Heritage Series, while honouring its legacy of bold, reliable sound.
