All signs point towards this bass being an S.D. Curlee Standard 1, although there's no real way to verify it's authenticity as it's been stripped of any branding it may have had and the serial numbers of S.D. Curlee's were quite inconsistent (although this one is similar to other genuine S.D. Curlee basses online).
S.D. Curlee guitars were made between around 1976 and 1982, formed in Matteson Illinois and were apparently quite popular in Europe. The Standard 1 Precision bass features a mahogany body, maple bolt-on neck anchored into the body with a brass plate and Gibson EB-like humbucker DiMarzio P-bass pickups.
This bass features all brass hardware, 24 frets, master volume and master tone controls plus pickup selector switch.
