1964 Hofner Congress Archtop
Vincent BarrasShare
Manufactured in Germany in 1964 with a Maple veneer body top, back, and sides, featuring a Cello style body with two F holes, and a floating harp style tailpiece. This instrument has been modified, and a piezo-style pickup has been added under the bridge, giving this Vintage Acoustic the option to go Electric.
The Congress was one of Hofner’s easier guitars to play due to the small size of the body, despite remaining a full-length scale instrument (vintagehofner.co.uk).
Second-hand, in fair condition, with some cosmetic wear as shown in photos. Case not included.
