MXR M-104 Distortion+

This Vintage early 90’s MXR M-104 Distortion+ is great for creating a myriad of tones, from an overdriven bluesy sound right through to tube screamer-esq vibe or extreme fuzz. For an overdriven blues sound, max out the output and turn down the distortion knob, and do the reverse for a distorted metal sound. This pedal is one of the first notably good distortion pedals and dates back 40 years, making it iconic in it's history and reputation.

This particular pedal is one of the originals of this model from the early 90’s, adding that vintage and collect-ability factor. Combine that with the fact that it is rated #4 of all distortion pedals on Equipboard, and you’ve got yourself a piece of timeless, treasured tone history. We think this pedal is fantastic for guitarists and bassists looking for a distortion pedal capable of extreme tonal diversity.

This pedal was used by quite a few prolific artists, including Kurt Cobain of Nirvana,
PJ Harvey, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Dave Murray of Iron Maiden, and metal legend Rhandy Rhoades who specifically used the MXR Distortion + when working with Ozzy Osbourne.
This pedal is best suited to genres including metal, blues, jazz, alternative, and all types of rock.
